Reverend Gemmel Sherwood Minister of the Word E-mail: gemmels@iinet.net.au After 21 years as a teacher in rural WA, Gemmel began his ministry in 1986 in the Uniting Church Parish of Wanneroo which expanded to include congregations in Woodvale and Joondalup residential areas. He then served at the Yokine Church until becoming Moderator of the WA Synod in 2002. Now retired, he shares ministry with Rev. William Lucas at Crossways Church. Gemmel has given focus to variety in worship, to learning in the faith and increasing contact with the wider community. Gemmel is married to Peggy, a lovely support in ministry. |
Reverend William Lucas William did his Theological Training in Fiji and graduated with Diploma in Theology then went to India for a year to do further course in Evangelism. He served the Methodist Church In Fiji for 43 years before migrating to Australia in 2013. Currently he is currently sharing in the ministry at Crossways Uniting Church in Wanneroo WA. He is responsible for the Fijian congregation here. |
